Matthew is a Senior Executive Search, Talent & Leadership Advisor and Certified Executive Coaching Professional, who has over 25 years' global expertise in identifying, assessing and coaching talent and senior level executives. He has hired across 45 countries, including the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific for the worlds’ leading companies.

From 2010 to 2020 Matthew was Partner for the Middle East & Africa at Boyden, the world’s oldest private executive search and leadership consulting firm, with over 70 offices in 40 countries. He was Partner in the Dubai office, covering the Middle East and Africa.
Matthew led the Middle East Board, Government and Aviation Practices and was Global Head of the Infrastructure Practice. He worked with clients across sectors including: Consumer, Real Estate, Government, Industrial, Infrastructure, Airports, Airlines, Aerospace, Family Groups, Private Equity, Sovereign Wealth Funds and alternative Asset Management.
Matthew has conducted over 600 global searches and interviewed over 6000 global
C-level senior executives. He has also undertaken over 1000 hours of coaching and assessment of executives, boards and their performance, whilst launching the Boyden Leadership Consulting Practice in 2017. Prior to this, from 1994 to 2010, he worked for 3 leading UK plc executive search firms in London working across Europe, MEA and Asia.
In 2009 Matthew founded ‘Alchemy Executive’, an emerging markets focused Executive Coaching firm, working with leading companies and exceptional individuals across MEA.
In 2015 he co-founded ‘N3 Executive’ with Professor Justin Kennedy, a professor of neuroscience and founding member of the Institute of Coaching at McLean, Harvard Medical School Affiliate. ‘N3 Executive’ pioneered and delivers neuroscience based, academically accredited coaching to executives and corporates across the EMEA region.
Matthew is currently conducting his PhD research in the field of neuroscience and its effectiveness in executive & health coaching. He is also writing his first book, focused on the fields of employee engagement, motivation and corporate & personal performance. Matthew is a member of the AESC (Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants), the ICF (International Coach Federation) and the IOC (Institute of Coaching at McLean, Harvard Medical School Affiliate). He is a u-coach certified coach, a certified Sherpa Coach, Applied Neuroscience Coach, and a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach. He has completed the Andrew Sobel, Trusted Advisor program.
Matthew is also an advisor and Mentor with 'Reach' the leading Mentoring platform for Women in Business and Mind another mentoring organisation where he does pro-bono work.
Matthew serves as Focus Chair for Talent, Leadership & Development within the British Business Group, Dubai and has been a Committee Member and now Board member responsible for Sponsorship and Strategic Relationships since 2015. He has also been a Steering Committee Member, and now Working Committee member of the Capital Club in DIFC, Dubai since 2018. He is a Coach and Mentor to Reach, the leading Women in Business not-for-profit mentoring organisation in the Middle East.
Matthew is a regular speaker at various MBA Schools, including INSEAD and London Business School, where he is an EMBA coach. He is a regular media contributor and commentator in the MEA region on the topics of talent, succession planning, leadership, regional dynamics, cultural awareness and nationalisation.
Matthew graduated with a BSc (Hons) in the UK and has lived and worked in London, the UK, Hong Kong and, since 2007, across the Middle East and Africa based from Dubai, UAE.
